ACUFEX◊ ACCESS

ACUFEX◊ ACCESS Positioning System is a positioning system from Smith+Nephew designed for easy and flexible positioning of the patient in the lateral decubitus position during arthroscopic procedures on the shoulder. The system allows adjustment of abduction, rotation, flexion and, if necessary, lateral traction of the limb, allowing unobstructed access to the repair site without complex adjustments.

Technical features

Easy to use: The system is designed for quick set-up and easy operation, allowing the surgeon and the operating team to focus on the procedure itself.

Modularity: With the option of additional lateral traction, it allows both standard and advanced positioning configurations, freeing up personnel who would otherwise support the operating arm during the procedure.

Sterile field: The system includes mats that allow control and adjustments within the sterile field during surgery, eliminating the need to sterilise individual components.

Technical specifications:

Lateral traction: The optional boom for lateral traction with adjustable length and height allows adaptation to different patient sizes and surgeon preferences.

Hand rotation: A patented mechanism allows easy rotation and locking of the arm in one movement, simplifying the positioning process.

Thigh abduction: An integrated lever allows easy abduction and adduction of the arm within the sterile field.

Universal fixing: The universal clamp allows attachment to any standard operating table without the need for additional adaptors.
