ALLEVYN AG Gentle Border is an advanced antimicrobial wound dressing that combines the proven efficacy of silver (Ag) with the comfort of a gentle silicone edge. It is designed for use on infected wounds or wounds at increased risk of infection, where it is important to both control the microbial load and maintain an optimal healing environment.

Technical features

Silver (Ag) technology: ionic silver is released in a controlled manner for up to 7 days, which works effectively against a wide range of micro-organisms, including MRSA and VRE.
- Upper layer: waterproof but vapour permeable - prevents contamination from outside.
- Middle layer: foamed polyurethane for high exudate absorption and even silver distribution.
- Lower layer: atraumatic silicone contact with the wound - does not damage the skin on removal.
  Three-layer structure:
Gentle fixing: the silicone adhesive edge allows a secure grip, even on sensitive or age-impaired skin.
Use: suitable for chronic wounds, pressure sores, surgical wounds, pressure ulcers and 1st and 2nd degree burns.
