BIOSURE◊ SYNC

BIOSURE◊ SYNC is a tibial fixation device from Smith+Nephew designed to improve fixation of the graft on the tibial side during anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. This device addresses tibial fixation, which is often a weak point in ACL reconstructions, and provides a more rigid and robust reconstruction.

Technical features

Intra-tunnel design: The device works inside the bone tunnel, where it uses an interference screw and an outer sheath to separate and hold up to four tendons firmly in place inside the tibial tunnel. This design allows 360° contact between the graft and the bone along the entire length of the tunnel, which can have a positive effect on healing.

PEEK-OPTIMA® material: The device is made of PEEK-OPTIMA®, a polymer known for its biocompatibility, strength and abrasion resistance, which ensures a long-lasting and reliable fixation.
