Epiphyseal screw (EC)
The epiphyseal screw is designed to treat slippage of the femoral head epiphysis (SCFE). Its minimally invasive approach uses a central screw that maintains blood flow in the femoral neck and reduces the risk of puncturing the joint.
The screw stabilises the femoral head for partial weight bearing and has a short thread that acts as a tension screw without puncturing the joint. Its large screw head prevents bone ingrowth and allows easy percutaneous removal, avoiding open surgery.
Epiphyseal screw (EC)
- Cannulated tension screw with sponge tissue and constant 10 mm thread
- Core diameter 5 mm
- Outer diameter 6,5 mm
- Lengths: 50 - 120 mm in 5 mm increments
- Cannulation: 3.5 mm for lead wire D=3.2 mm
- Self-drilling and self-tapping
- Flange with back thread
- Large bolt head: WS 10 mm, height 10 mm
- Large countersunk head for easy removability (funnel: D=7.5 mm / 30°)
Panel technology. ONE technology for all implants. All ITS. plates are made of Grade 2 titanium, while the screws are made of a harder titanium alloy. This allows the plates to have only threadless holes, all of which (with the exception of the elongated holes) accept both non-locking and locking screws.
