TWINFIX◊ HA/PK Suture Anchor, Shoulder

TWINFIX◊ HA/PK is a suture anchor developed by Smith+Nephew for use in shoulder surgery, particularly rotator cuff repair. The anchor is designed to reattach soft tissue to bone and is available in two materials:

- HA (hydroxyapatite): The anchor is made of polylactic acid with the addition of hydroxyapatite, which promotes osseointegration and biocompatibility.

- PK (polyetheretherketone): The anchor is made of polyetheretherketone, known for its high strength and stability.

Technical features

Different sizes: The anchors are available in 4.5 mm, 5.5 mm and 6.5 mm diameters, allowing flexibility according to the specific needs of the surgical procedure.

- ULTRABRAID™ seams: Each anchor is equipped with two ULTRABRAID™ #2 sutures, which ensure high strength and reliability in tissue fixation.

- Ergonomically shaped inserter: The anchor is attached to the inserter by an internal mechanism that optimises force transmission during insertion into the bone, reducing the risk of anchor fractures and improving placement accuracy.
