Distal forearm locking plate (DUL)
The distal forearm locking plate system is designed for secure fixation with locking screws and can be easily shaped to fit the distal forearm. The palm-mounted plate is naturally covered by the surrounding musculature, often eliminating the need to remove metal.
Locking screws stabilise the head of the forearm, while the configuration of the plate supports the passage into the neck region. The use of locking screws in the proximal part increases the overall stiffness, ensuring a robust and reliable attachment.
Distal forearm locking plate system
- Design of the anatomical panel
- K-Wire holes for pre-attaching the panel
- Elongated hole for optimal positioning and adjustment of forearm length
- Tapered proximal end of the percutaneous insertion plate
- 5 distal plate holes for optimal reconstruction of the distal radioulnar joint (DRUJ)
- Available in L and D/standard and small and in different lengths
Panel technology. ONE technology for all implants. All ITS. plates are made of Grade 2 titanium, while the screws are made of a harder titanium alloy. This allows the plates to have only threadless holes, all of which (with the exception of the elongated holes) accept both non-locking and locking screws.
